Flick Em Up

Have you ever played Pretzel Games' Flick'em Up! ? It is a fun and intuitive dexterity game that was released last year at Gen Con 2015.

The game offers hours of laughter for 2 to 10 players, including 10 scenarios that'd have the whole family divided in two clans.

You could either side with the Sheriff, who fights for all that's good, or with the Cooper clan, who unload their Colts because it's fun and profitable.

Well, if you didn't have the chance to play Flick'em Up!, you might run out of excuses pretty soon, because next week there will be a brand new "Wider Audience" edition for the game!

That's right! Flick'em Up! has gone in to a plastic cheaper version of the game...

Dobble

Spot it!, a.k.a. Dobble, is a simple pattern recognition game in which players try to find an image shown on two cards.

Each card in the game features eight different symbols, with the symbols varying in size from one card to the next. Any two cards have exactly one symbol in common. For the basic game, reveal one card, then another. Whoever spots the symbol in common on both cards claims the first card, then another card is revealed for players to search, and so on. Whoever has collected the most cards when the 55-card deck runs out wins!

Rules for different games – each an observation game with a speed element – are included withSpot it!, with the first player to find a match either gaining or getting rid of a card.

Now there is a new version...

Locate your opponents faster than the identical symbol between two cards! This version includes two new variants, three solo workouts, a stopwatch and a table of scores to monitor and record their personal best!

Betond Baker Street

With this exciting new game due in tomorrow, I thought I would have a look for some reviews and gameplay videos. Here is the Dice Tower Review byt Tom Vassel...

The overview of the game is ...

"A heinous crime has been committed. A team of the Kingdom's finest detectives has been assembled and put on the case. They have a prime suspect, they have a motive, and they know what the opportunity to commit the crime was. Now all they have to do is prove it.

Using powers of deduction and communication, the players work as a team to eradicate dead leads and find clues to prove who, how, and why. All the relevant clues are available to them to do so. They just won't know it. On top of that, Sherlock Holmes himself is already on the case. Can they solve the crime before he does?

At the start of Beyond Baker Street, players select one of the crimes to solve, and a number of suspects, motives, and opportunities will be available for the players to convict of the crime. Each player holds a set of five clues, but they won't be able to see their own clues — only their counterparts. Each turn, a player may either:
  • ASSIST another detective
  • INVESTIGATE crime scene
  • CONFIRM evidence
  • ELIMINATE dead leads
  • PURSUE new leads
Players win together if they can gather enough evidence to make a conviction before Holmes does, or they crumble under the stress of the case.
