Darkness Fable Sneak Peek

In October we will be hosting our very first Sneak Peak for Buddy Fight, details of which will follow in the coming weeks. In the mean time here are the rules for this draft event...

Booster Draft Explanation

Booster Draft is a method of play where players have no cards to begin with. They are required to
have 6 Future Card Buddyfight Booster Packs per player, at the moment of play.
Players then open 1 pack at a time, choose a card they would like to put in their deck in a
predetermined order (this is known as the “draft”), and then the decks are built right then and
With this unique style, players get to experience the thrill of drawing and selecting cards, along with
the joy of playing with a different deck each time!

1. Played with 2 or more players (Recommended 8 players for maximum fun!)
2. Each player will require 6 Future Card Buddyfight Booster Packs

Deck Building and Special Rulings

1. Players will build a deck consisting of 30 cards (29 cards + 1 buddy card chosen by you)
2. Players are not required to have a flag card
3. Players life points will start at 10
4. Players with no cards in the deck zone will automatically lose the game
5. Players will draw 6 cards into their hand at the start as per normal
6. World restriction does not apply to the Booster Draft deck construction (i.e. you may have a
Dragon World monster and a Magic World monster in your deck)
7. Attributes still work as per normal
8. Standard game rules apply, except you may have more than 4 copies of the same card in
your deck

1. Decide on the seating arrangement around the table with a random method.
2. Each person will then proceed to open one of their booster packs and check the cards in the pack
3. Players will now choose 1 card and place it face down in front of you.
4. Once all players have chosen one card and placed it in front of them, pass the remainingcards to person on their left (clockwise direction)
5. From the remaining cards handed over, players will then choose another card and add it to the face down card in front of them
6. Once the cards have been given out, open the next booster pack
7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 until the first 3 booster packs have been disseminated 8. Between the third and fourth booster pack, players are encourage to look at what they have drawn thus far in order to plan what other cards they should draw for the remaining few booster packs
9. Starting from the fourth booster pack, pass the cards that you did not draft to the player on the right instead (anti-clockwise direction)
10. Once all 6 packs have been opened and disseminated, the draft is over
11. Each player should ensure that they have 30 cards each and select their buddy from within their deck (Players will play with 29 cards in their deck)

Game Conditions

The basic rules of Future Card Buddyfight can be found here:
Each player gets to keep all cards that he/she drafted during the booster draft. If all participants
agree, they can redistribute the cards in another method.

M15 Booster Box Pre-orders

The new set from MTG will be on sale form this weekend. If you are interested in a box then you need to get the order in today to guarantee that it will be available on release day.
I can take payment for these tonight, or they can be ordered online at ...!trading-cards/c133f

While stocks last you will get a foil promotional MTG card for purchasing this item which is ...

MTG Singles

With the new set being released this Friday I thought it was about time to get some new items in the Rares Folder, I also thought as I no longer have a shop to display them it was about time that I added images and prices to our website.

These will be available to order on the site and pick up at one of our events. The regular events are KD Games Night on Tuesday at the Royal George or KD Magic Night at the Royal George on Friday. You can also choose to pick them up form Tarmount Studio on Thursday mornings from 10am until 1:30pm. If you would rather have the cards delivered then this can also be done, but it will cost an additional £3. To have your cards delivered you will need to add 'My Hermes Delivery' to your basket. (Please note if you are ordering a bigger item from the site that already includes delivery you do not need to add this cost)

In addition to the rares I will also have a selection of commons and uncommons which will be 20p each. These will only be available form one of our events. Older commons and uncommons will now be available at Tarmount Studio (from this Thursday - for just 5p each)

The current collection of rares is quite small but I will try and add new ones each week as we get them, if you would like to see what is currently available then please visit...

M15 Accessories

Due for release next weekend are some great accessories from Ultrapro ...

At the moment I am unsure of the quantities that will be available and whether or not some will not be available at all, but if you are interested then please let me know as soon as possible and I will see what I can do.

Open Dueling

There will again be the option of Open Dueling at this weekends Prerelease. This offers players the chance to buy the new M15 Intro Decks a week before the release date and play with them during the Prerelease event. Historically we have done this through either casual game or a mini tournament.

This time I am planning something a little different, players will still get to purchase the decks on either Saturday or Sunday (subject to availability) but as it is difficult to get the numbers for an event and one off games can be a little uneventful, I thought we might try a multi player game.

There are ten packs available (two in each colour) one of which has already been claimed, and of course each deck comes with 2 boosters so who knows what great cards you might get before they are released?

Let me know on Facebook what your thoughts are and if you would be interested in playing on either Saturday or Sunday.
