Incoming - White Dwarf 520

The first White Dwarf of 2026 is available to pre-order on Saturday, and it’s opening the year with a bang. Issue 520 is fronted by the foreboding C’tan Shard of the Nightbringer, and brings readers an early look at the lore and design of the miniatures accompanying 500 Worlds: Titus.
The issue contains design notes on the miniatures, including Captain Titus and the Wardens of Ultramar, and Nekrosor Ammentar, while the background and rules writers chime in about the books themselves.

The Warhammer 40,000 coverage this issue is rounded out by an army showcase of Warhammer Design Studio member Daz’s Silver Skulls, and some new missions for the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Operations game – the perfect accompaniment to the rules and missions made free earlier in the month.

For fans of the Mortal Realms, there’s a Nurgle-tinged selection of articles in the issue. First up, you can get a closer read on the lore of the Jade Abbey in Warhammer Quest: Darkwater, before moving on to a quick and efficient guide for painting some of the villains of the new game. Then, there are new rules for leading a deluded delegation of Flesh-eater Courts into the depths of the Jade Abbey – they believe they’re questing knights on an important mission, and who are we to argue?

If, like us, you’re excited about bringing Grandfather Nurgle’s gifts to all those wretched and miserable souls around the realms, then you’ll be happy to see a whole section on building and painting oozing, seeping, and corrupted Nurgle-touched terrain. Then, there’s a husband and wife Warhammer Age of Sigmar collection all themed around Shyish, the Realm of Death.

The White Dwarf team aren’t stopping there either, as there’s a new Warhammer 40,000 serial, The Chronicles of Bain, by Neil Andrew Miller, and in the Bunker you’ll find a look at cool miniatures painted by people from around the world, and a showcase of awesome converted chariots made by members of the Warhammer Studio.

White Dwarf has an RRP of £7.99 now, but you can still get a copy from us at just £7

TNT - Flashpoint League 2026

Our TNT events for 2026 will commence with a new 5 week league for Halo Flashpoint.
As per last year this will be a free event to play in and all you will need is a team (you might even be able to borrow one of those). We should be getting a restock of teams next week so there is still time to get one of your own.

This time the event will last 5 weeks and we will be playing a different mission each week. The full schedule of these missions will be announced soon. We will also be using the points system to build you teams and there will be a separate article on how this works in the next day of so.

We will be looking for between 6 and 8 players for this event (although could probably go higher if there is enough demand, would just need a little thinking about). Players will track their points and will score based on their VPs in the game plus additional points for the result of the game.

In addition to the points scored for the result there will also be additional points available for acheiving additional objectives. Some of these will be per game and others per event. This include points for achievements such as Double Kills, Brutality, Slayer Spree, Parade Ready, etc. These will also be explained in a seperate post before the event starts.

The first matches will be played on Tuesday 13th January, but there will be an opportunity to have a practice game on Tuesday 6th January plus learn more about the different teams and how the point system works.

Please let us know before the 6th January if you are interested in playing. (please not you do not need to play every week but this will obviously make if harder for you to win the league)

After the five weeks the player with the highest total points will win the event and receive an acrylic set of weapon counters.

2025 Painting Competition - The Results

Our 2025 painting competition has finished and the votes have been counted. A massive thank you to everyone that entered this year and to everyone that took the time to come in and vote.

The standard was outstanding and the imagination for some of the conversions showed just how much time and thought had gone into the entry.

For some it was one of the very first pieces that they had painted and there was a great mix of younger entries and more experienced painters.

Every single entry got a decent number of votes which is so great to see, the people that voted loved the variety and spent time looking at all of the entries.

All of the models are still on display in the shop, if you want to come in and see them and they will be available for the owners to pick up in the new year.

After all the votes had been counted, the top four were as follows...

In fourth place and highest placed under 16 was Andrea. Several people commented on his model and many thought it was painted by an adult. He has in fact been painting for just 4 months and spent several days on his entry. I can't wait to see what he does next year. He will receive a £5 voucher.

In third place was Arek, His model featured flames and the impressive glow of the reflection on the armour. He will receive a £5 voucher

In second place was George with this stunning entry featuring three Imperial Fist Infernus Marines. Yellow is a difficult colour to do and these look incredible. He will receive a £10 voucher.

Finally, the winner. Another orky conversion by Leo. This model does indeed feature all the pieces from the original model (including some of the sprue) and people loved the idea. Congratulations on a truely creative and well painted entry. He will receive a £15 voucher.
