Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog dashes into KD Games on August 21 when the non-foil Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes drop arrives on our shelves, introducing seven mechanically unique cards to fans of both Magic and the beloved Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.

These cards are legal in Commander, Legacy, and Vintage formats.

Our 18th Anniversary

KD Games has several anniversaries, recently we had our first year at our current venue of 32a High Street in Shoreham and later this year will be the 12th year since we rebranded to KD Games, but this week it 18 years since we opened our doors on our very first shop Kids Dreams in 2007.

Originally we opened as a toy shop selling traditional and pocket money toys but it was not long before we started selling or first gaming products from of course Games Workshop followed very quickly by Magic the Gathering and Pokemon.

A lot has changed since then both in what we sell and how we operate. As KD Games, we stopped selling toys and have concentrated on board games, tabletop and card games. We have been in many different locations and served many many different people and are delighted to still be here 18 years later.

I have lost count of the amount of games we have sold and the amount of different events, clubs, tournaments and demonstrations we have run over the years.

I have had the pleasure of knowing some of you since those very early days in Hove and in many cases seen people that started playing when they were just children go on to still enjoying games in to their adulthood.

As a community you have been a big part of my families lives, my children have grown up during this time and I have had the pleasure of seeing many of your families grow too. I have made so many good friends during this time, it has been great sharing the good times with you and I have been grateful for the support many of you have shown us through the harder times.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers; old and new for spending your hard earned money with us and making the last 18 years so much fun. I look forward to many more years of gaming to come.

Round Structure: Best of three, 50 minute rounds. Up to five swiss rounds followed by a top cut.

Star Wars Unlimited Prerelease Event

SUNDAY 6th JULY at 2PM

This event will have a capacity of 10 players.

This event requires all participants to have a Melee.gg account. (Although one can be set up on the day if necessary)

All players will receive a prerelease kit containing 6 Star Wars Unlimited - Legends of the Force booster packs, 2 promo cards, quickstart rules, damage counters, a deckbuilding guide and a deck box. 

Everyone will then have 50 Minutes to build their deck from their prerelease kit. There will then be 3x 50 minute swiss rounds in which you will use your prerelease deck against other players!

At the end of the event all players regardless of where they finish will receive and additional 2 packs from the new set.

MTG Store Championship - Final Fantasy

June 28 at 4pm

Store Championship is the culminating event of the season for Standard players. You have hopefully refined your deck and strategies throughout the season at weekly Standard Showdown and FNM events to prepare for this next-level challenge—and earn bragworthy prizes.

Entry to this event is just £5 and there are prizes for everyone.

ALL event participants will get at least one promo (while supplies last), which will be distributed as follows ...
