Sails of Glory
England expects that every man will do his duty...
- Admiral Nelson, Trafalgar
Sails of Glory is a game system that allows players to recreate naval battles during the Age of Sail, using cards and pre-painted and assembled ship miniatures.
In Sails of Glory players will sail and fight with massive ships-of-the-line or swift frigates, in an age where the armies and fleets of the French Emperor Napoleon I battled across the seas, against the powerful Royal Navy of the British Empire in dramatic naval battles, such as Trafalgar and the Battle of the Nile.
This Sails of Glory Starter Set is a complete game for 2-4 players that includes everything you need to recreate the epic naval battles of the of the “Age of Sail”, but may be expanded with additional Ship Packs to allow for larger battles with different ships.
Sails of Glory is fast playing and easy-to-learn. The Basic Rules give you a very simple starting point to start playing minutes after opening this box. After you’re familiar with the Basic Rules, or if you are an experienced gamer, you may use the Standard or Advanced Rules, to make the game more challenging and realistic.
Four ships, two French and two British, are included, each ship complemented by a specific manoeuvre deck and ship log. Also included is a full colour rulebook, counters and accessories, to start playing out of the box in mere minutes.
Expansions will also be available please see below.
Each Sails of Glory Ship Pack is a historically accurate ready-to-play model, painted and assembled, 100% compatible with any other Sails of Glory game product.
In each pack you will find all you need to play with the ship: a special base with gaming stats, a ship log and a specific deck of manoeuvre cards.
32 guns Concorde & Amazon class frigates
The Concorde Class frigates were fifth-rate, 32-guns, fast and manoeuvrable ships. They were armed with twenty-six 12-pounder long guns on the main battery and lighter pieces of artillery – four 6-pounder guns on the forecastle and two on the poop deck – and were designed for a crew of 280
The Amazon Class frigates of 1773 were fifth-rate, 32- guns British ships with a main battery of 12-pounder guns, plus 18-pound carronades and 6-pounder guns in the quarterdeck and in the forecastle. The designed crew was of 220.
74 guns Téméraire & Bellona/ Elizabeth class ships-of-the-line
The Téméraire Class is the most numerous class of capital ships ever built, with 67 built between 1782 and 1824 for the French navy. These third-rate, 74-guns ships had a designed crew of 700. They were armed with 28 36-Pounder guns in the lower deck, 30 18-Pounder guns in the upper deck, and 16 8-Pounder guns in the quarterdeck and in the forecastle.
The Elizabeth class was almost identical in size, layout and structure to the Bellona class, and had only slight variations in the shape of the underwater hull. The Elizabeth class ships of the line were a class of eight 74-gun third rates, designed for the Royal Navy by Sir Thomas Slade.
The Bellona Class is considered a prototype for the iconic 74-gun ships of the latter part of the 18th century. The Bellona Class had a designed crew of 550 and was armed with 28 32-Pounder guns in the lower deck, 28 18-Pounder guns in the upper deck and 18 9-Pounder guns in the quarterdeck and in the forecastle.

King of Tokyo
In King of Tokyo, you play mutant monsters, gigantic robots, and other aliens – all of whom are happily whacking each other in a joyous atmosphere in order to become the one and only King of Tokyo.
At the start of each turn, you roll six dice. The dice show the following six symbols: 1, 2 or 3 Points of Destruction, Energy, Healing and Whack. Over three successive throws, choose whether to keep or discard each die in order to win destruction points, hoard energy, restore health, or whack other players into understanding that Tokyo is YOUR territory.
The fiercest player will be crowned King of Tokyo... and will end up facing all the other monsters alone!
Top this off with special cards purchased with energy that have a permanent or temporary effect, such as the growing of a second head which grants you an additional die, body armor, nova death ray, and more.... and it's one of the most explosive games of the year!
In order to win the game, one must either destroy Tokyo by accumulating 20 destruction points, or be the only surviving monster once the fighting has ended.

Risk
The risks you take in Risk Legacy will change every future game. A decision made in Game 1 could come back to haunt you in Game 10. Players shape how the world evolves: its history, its cities, even its factions and how they fight. Cards and stickers will come into play or go out of play forever. You don’t forget past betrayals – and neither does the game.
At first, the game plays much like regular Risk. Players control countries or regions on a map of the world and through simple combat they try to eliminate all opponents from the game board.
What’s different is that Risk Legacy changes over time based on the outcome of each game and the various choices made by players. In each game, players choose one of five factions and at the start of the game, each of these factions gains the ability to break one minor rule.
When factions are chosen, players must pick one of their two powers, affix that power’s sticker to their faction card, then destroy other rule card. (“If a card is DESTROYED, it is removed from the game permanently. Rip it up. Throw it in the trash.”)
The rule book is also designed to change as the game continues and the game box itself contains different sealed compartments, each with a written condition for opening. They contain the rule additions, faction powers, and a few other surprises.
Unlock new rules and watch events unfold as no two games will EVER be the same.
