Halo Flashpoint Update

 

First Off, something BIG is coming to Halo Flashpoint!

The Noble Team boxed set includes an expansion book with rules for playing bigger games of Halo: Flashpoint, alongside the fantastic MasterCraft Resin figures for Noble Team, and the UNSC Man Cannons. Fireteams in these bigger games will be 400-500 points each (so the perfect way to use all of Noble Team!), rather than the current standard size of 200 points, and you'll play on a much larger battlefield - 8 x 16 cubes!

As part of this expansion booklet, you will see 4 new scenarios for use with the BTB game mode

There are a few differences to how BTB is played compared to regular games of Halo: Flashpoint. So far Mantic have revealed, a couple of the changes, which are:

• 3 choices of Respawns - Regular, None, or Single Use!
• The normal limit of picking only 2 of any type of item is doubled for BTB, to 4 of any single type of item.

In the future, more scenarios will appear in large expansions. Mantic seem to be very committed to BTB and there are likely to be a lot more updates coming this year.

Part of the new ruleset is also covering cooperative play - so if you wanted to play with a friend and each of you had 250 points, there are now rules that support that method of play in BTB

Young Guns back in April

 

Following the success of our March Young Guns Club, we are pleased to announce that we will be running a session in April. The format will be much the same as the first one and is open to any young people that is interested in playing/learning 40k. 

There will be several older players from our community there to help with rules, tactics,painting in fact anything that you might need help with in the 40k universe.

Entry to this event costs just £2 and is currently capped at 12 players. The session will be on Sunday 26th April from 10am through til 12pm. Tickets can be purchased in store or on our website.

TNT - Kill Team Week Two

Week two of our Kill Team League has now been completed. The Crit Op for this week was Transmission. In this phase, we had match ups and results:

This week we added a new Kill Zone, the The toxic seas of Bheta-Decima are deadly, but they contain the remains of a vital facility containing relics and technology that could turn the tide of war. Teams of elite operatives clash over the exposed gantries, contending with the hungry depths as much as the enemy.

The latest Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Mega Evolution—Perfect Order, arrives March 27, 2026, but you can visit KD GAMES to play with it early! Starting March 14, we will begin selling the Mega Evolution—Perfect Order Build & Battle Box, giving Trainers a chance to have a Prerelease battle and experience the latest expansion before its official release date.

In the Prerelease format, players compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play, as opposed to a 60-card deck with six Prize cards. 

Prerelease is perfect for introducing new Trainers to the exciting world of the Pokémon TCG with quick, fun games, and it gives seasoned Trainers a window into everything Mega Evolution—Perfect Order has to offer. 

Due to the limited card pool and the variance of cards that can be acquired in a Build & Battle Box, Prerelease events are a great opportunity to flex your creative deck-building muscles.

Each Build & Battle Box includes four Mega Evolution—Perfect Order booster packs and a 40-card, ready-to-play deck featuring key cards from current and prior expansions, as well as one of four unique foil promo cards. Depending on which promo card you get, you could be playing with the royal Serperior, the handy hero Barbaracle, the tyrannical Tyrantrum, or the sword-flashing Doublade.

The intimidating, yet majestic Lord of the Forest’s Regal Command attack rewards Trainers who keep a full Bench by doing 20 damage for each of your Pokémon in play. While that may be difficult to attain in the early game, Serperior rewards patience—and has direct synergy with Rosa’s Encouragement. With this Supporter card in your discard pile, damage done by Solar Coiling is boosted to 250 total—which spells devastation for many of your opponents in a Prerelease match.

Keep an eye out for the Forest of Vitality Stadium card, which will help put Serperior into play much faster. Plus, Shaymin can use its Send Flowers attack to find Growing Energy, which you can attach to Serperior to boost its HP by 20. Since Serperior has a lot of late-game utility, a little extra HP will surely be helpful.

We’ve got to hand it to Barbaracle (though arguably it has plenty of those already)—it’s got a rock-solid Ability in Stone Arms to accelerate Energy from your hand to one of your Pokémon. This makes Barbaracle an integral part of a Mega Zygarde ex deck, since its comparatively high-cost attacks can use all the Energy acceleration they can get.

Rocky Energy is a Fighting-type Pokémon’s best friend—it protects the Pokémon it’s attached to from any effects of the opponent’s attacks. This will keep Barbaracle armed against effects like Klefki’s Memory Lock. Landorus is an addition that opens up some flexibility in your Energy attachment, since its Screw Knuckle attack allows you to put an Energy attached to it back into your hand.

Another Pokémon that benefits greatly from Rocky Energy is Tyrantrum. Its Tyrannically Gutsy Ability boosts Tyrantrum’s HP from 180 to 330 if it has a Special Energy attached, which makes it a single-Prize tank worthy of a king’s crown.

To get Tyrantrum to its throne on the battlefield, you need to get Antique Jaw Fossil into play first, so deck-searching Supporter cards like Team Rocket’s Petrel and Drayton are critical inclusions. Tyrantrum’s Wreak Havoc attack allows you to flip a coin until you get tails, discarding the top card of your opponent’s deck for each heads. Enhanced Hammer amps up the chaos by discarding a Special Energy attached to one of your opponent’s Pokémon, disrupting opportunities for counterplay.

In the Prerelease format, there’s no limit to the number of copies of a Pokémon you can have in your deck—so you could include six, maybe seven copies of Honedge, Doublade, or Aegislash to maximize your damage output when Doublade attacks with Weaponized Swords.

To help in your endeavor to lay down massive damage, you could use Full Metal Lab from the Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces expansion, which will soften the blow of incoming attacks (handy considering Doublade’s fairly low HP). With Ignition Energy from the Scarlet & Violet—White Flare expansion on your side, you can help Doublade get an attack going without any prior Energy attachment needed.

TNT - Kill Team Week 1 Summary

Last week our Tuesday Night Tournament moved into the first week of Kill Team League. In this first week of the league we had 10 players with a variety of different teams. Everyone played the second Crit Op which was Loot.

On outpost, the Murder Wing commanded by Richard met Jame's Orks. The Chaos Marines proved to strong for the Green Skins and Richard won this battle 17 points to 8.

On Maroch, the Wolf Scouts led by Jake C-S encountered the Aaron's Goremonger team. The game was a close one on in the end the scouts managed to win 19 points to 17 points. 

Jess commanded the Angels of Death on Voltas against the Necrons led by Jake (RTK). In this battle the Necrons really dominated and the final score was 20 points to 2 points.

On the Tomb World another unit of Murder Wing, this time led by George, attacked a small unit of Catachan Guardsman under the command of Vince. The Chaos lived up to their name and won the encounter 14 points to 6 points.

Finally, on the Gallowdark, the Jake (Binky) led his Sanctifiers into the dark corridors to encounter the Death Guard commanded by Leo. The Death Guard were just to hard to kill and they won 18 points to 4 points.
