All Magic: The Gathering Standard rotation sets leaving format in 2022

The Standard rotation in MTG takes place every fall, rotating out four sets that have been in the format for around two years. Each set leaving the Standard format remains playable in other Magic formats. The 2022 Standard rotation will take place on Sept. 9 with the release of Dominaria United. All sets released between the fall and summer of 2020 will rotate out of the Standard format at that time.

The MTG sets rotating out with the 2022 Standard rotation are Zendikar Rising, Kaldheim, Strixhaven: School of Mages, and Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. Each of these sets contains a number of cards that will impact the Standard meta upon leaving the format.

The sets that will remain within the Standard format following the 2022 Standard rotation are Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, Innistrad: Crimson Vow, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, and Streets of New Capenna. Standard sets for the 2022 to 2023 season that WotC has announced so far are Dominaria United, scheduled to release on Sept. 9, and The Brothers War, which has a tentative Nov. 18 release date.

A Standard-legal Magic set is typically released around every three months, four times a year. To keep the format fresh, sets will never stay legal to play in Standard beyond two years. Upon leaving via Standard rotation, cards remain playable in a variety of MTG formats.

Within the digital space of MTG Arena, Standard cards that have rotated out are still legal to play in the Historic and Explorer formats. And competitive tabletop formats like Pioneer and Modern, along with casual formats like Commander, will continue to use powerful rotated-out Standard MTG cards as well.

Bag of Dungeon 2

Coming to KD Games in the coming months and currently on Kick Starter is the new edition of Bag of Dungeon

A once beautiful forest has become a cursed and poisoned place, full of evil creatures. Dare you enter its deadly realm to seek the ancient Maiden Tree and lift the curse? Brave adventurers, step out of the light and into the dark…

Bag of Dungeon 2: The Cursed Forest is a tile-laying fantasy adventure game for 1-4 players or an expansion for the original Bag of Dungeon. Build the forest as you go, encounter and do battle with fierce monsters, find weapons, armour and magic items to aid you, and try not to die.

This is the perfect old-school ‘dungeon (forest) crawler’, designed to be simple to set up and learn and quick and easy to play. It’s low complexity rating means it’s perfect for first-time gamers and families, and because the whole game fits in a bag, you can carry your dungeon with you wherever life’s real adventures take you.

But don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the game. The forest can be tough, sometimes almost unbeatable. And because every game is different, it will keep you fighting, looting and dying over and again for many happy hours.

A game for 1-4 players aged 7 and up

The Heart of Ghur

Warcry is the fast-paced skirmish game set within the Mortal Realms of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, which sees small warbands fighting it out for glory, loot, or a simple thirst for blood.

The newest release for this great game system will be The Heart of Ghur box set which is released on August 13th.

Now it’s time to lift the lid and get a good look at what’s inside – whether you’re an experienced Warcry campaigner or brand new to the game, you’ll want to see the treasures contained within.

The Warbands

They may carry hammers and other tools of the forge, but the Horns of Hashut prefer destruction to creation. They harness the power of fire and leave nothing but charred corpses in their wake, just as Hashut demands.

Facing off against the Horns of Hashut are the Rotmire Creed, twisted followers of Lord Leech. These hardy warriors seek to transform the verdant forest into a diseased swampland – a perfect place for their deity to call home.

The Scenery

The new season of Warcry takes the action away from the Varanspire and into the living forests of Ghur, better known as the Gnarlwood. You can create stunning multi-height battlegrounds with rope bridges connecting the watchtower, gnarloaks, and rib platform.

The Core Book

Heart of Ghur contains the complete rulebook for the new edition of Warcry. Known as the Core Book, it sets the scene for your battles in the Realm of Beasts and includes the rules for Open Play, Matched Play, and Narrative Play games.

The Warband Tome

Rot and Ruin contains the rules and background for the two new Warcry warbands, terrain rules for fighting in the Gnarlwood, and faction-specific quests for the Horns of Hashut and the Rotmire Creed.

This book is basically like a mini battletome for the two new warbands, containing everything you need to get them on the tabletop. There’s a load of other great stuff in there too including two campaign arcs, and tables for naming your fighters and deciding the background of your warband’s leader.

The Accessories

The box comes with masses of accessories, which are crucial for playing Warcry, including a game board, battleplan cards, tokens, dice, a range ruler, fighter cards, and ability cards.
