Book of Dungeon is coming soon to KD GAMES

Sharpen your pencil and your wits – you’re about to enter the Book of Dungeon.

Based on the popular board game Bag of Dungeon, Book of Dungeon is part puzzle book, part fantasy adventure — it’s less crosswords, more cross-swords.

With just a pencil, a pair of dice and your courage, draw and explore 100 deadly dungeons. Slay monsters, dodge traps and hunt for treasure. Each dungeon is a self-contained puzzle: draw your path, make your choices, and see if you can escape with your life.

How do I play? We hear you say…

Book of Dungeon has everything you need to start exploring. First, you’ll roll up your character, choosing from one of eleven powerful fantasy types — elves, wizards, dwarves, ogres, fairies, minotaurs, halflings and more! Add their stats and assign a special ability, all generated using one simple chart.

You will then head into the first dungeon (the first of 100) and roll dice to lay paths, drawing them as you go. Every turn is different, and each roll of the dice may bring you face to face with a monster, a trap or dungeon treasure! You will explore the dungeon, trying to survive, killing monsters and gaining items to help you in your quest, making brave decisions about where to go and how to stay alive.

Eventually, you will pick up the Ring (the main quest) and head for the exit to face the Red Dragon and only then will you know if you are strong or clever enough to defeat her and get out alive!

Gambit Sunday Review

Last Sunday was Gambit Sunday at KD Games. A it was a great day enjoyed by both experienced club veterans and new players alike.

After setting up the initial scenery there was a pause for a brief coffee and chat.

Following that battle commenced with some Kill Team with Space Marines taking on the Sisters of Battle and a small 500 point game of Age of Sigmar. 

We also had a few people arrive that were keen to learn how to play Pokemon TCG which we were happy to teach.

There was a good amount of Bloodbowl being played as well as the alternative versions of dungeon bowl and gutter bowl. 

The afternoon was broken up with a simple game of Bag of Dungeon with is made by Gunpowder Studios who will hopefully be with us for the Conquest Sunday at the end of August. 

Then it was back to Kill Team and Age of Sigmar for most of the afternoon's remaining battles.

The day finished with a game if Warcry played on the very first scenery we had set up in the morning!

It was a good say with a great atmosphere.  In total there were 14 players with a great mix of young players and experienced players. Good to see several new faces as well. I look forward to the mid month one in Sunday. A full list of Sunday dates can be found on our website.

Bag of Dungeon 2: The Cursed Forest is a tile-laying fantasy adventure game for 1-4 players or an expansion for the original Bag of Dungeon. Build the forest as you go, encounter and do battle with fierce monsters, find weapons, armour and magic items to aid you, and try not to die.

This is the perfect old-school ‘dungeon (forest) crawler’, designed to be simple to set up and learn and quick and easy to play. It’s low complexity rating means it’s perfect for first-time gamers and families, and because the whole game fits in a bag, you can carry your dungeon with you wherever life’s real adventures take you.

But don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the game. The forest can be tough, sometimes almost unbeatable. And because every game is different, it will keep you fighting, looting and dying over and again for many happy hours.
