Previously, Wizards of the Coast announced that beginning with The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, there introducing a new product feature in Standard release Magic boosters moving forward: cards known as Special Guests.

Special Guests are borderless reprints of fan-favorite cards that will appear in nonfoil on "The List" in Set Boosters and in Traditional Foil in Collector Boosters. The Lost Caverns of Ixalan features 18 total reprints from throughout Magic’s history—each available with unique borderless artwork.

Cosmium Neon Ink

Cosmium is a powerful source for the underground civilizations of Ixalan, and the Cosmium Neon Ink cards seek to showcase a slice of the plane's power. The ink treatment was designed to follow the art of the cards, allowing each card to pop regardless of whether it's in a players' decks or showcased in a collection binder.

Jurassic World Collection

The Gathering goes prehistoric with the inclusion of the Jurassic World Collection in The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Set and Collector Boosters. Players can find their favorite moments from all the Jurassic series movies, from the original Jurassic Park (1993) to the recently released Jurassic World: Dominion (2022).

There are a total of 26 REX cards within The Lost Caverns of Ixalan—20 are mechanically new designs exclusive to The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, and each new card is a rare. Six of the cards in the collection are lands; 5 are basic lands and one is a Command Tower. The basic lands are double-sided, allowing players the choice of displaying dinosaurs before and after they break free!

Blood Bowl Sevens

Our Blood Bowl Sevens League has just reached the half way point. Every team has now played every other team and the results are as follows...

This means that the current top four are Gary (11), Riley (9), Nick (6) and then Vince/Rob(5). So pretty close at this point. As we go into the second half of the season any team could easily make the play off's.

New Skirmish Case

The Citadel Figure Cases are the perfect way to transport and protect your Citadel miniatures. Containing one set of our revolutionary channel foam, the Citadel Skirmish Figure Case has been specially designed to fit almost any model that Games Workshop make, any shape and size, quickly and easily without the chore of cutting and shaping to fit.

Packing and unpacking the case is absurdly quick and easy; any model, however pointy, placed anywhere within the channels will be protected as well as if you’d spent countless hours hacking away at a custom fit. You’ll free up more time to concentrate on games, painting or just showing off your miniatures collection. The channel foam is as efficient a use of space as possible, allowing you to store more models more safely than any other case. 

You want the best protection for your miniatures - the foam inside the case is slightly larger than the case itself, and will compress around the figures when closed, ensuring a minimum of movement for any miniature.. It also has nylon catches, so if you should drop it the catches won’t break. To ensure the robustness of the stress points, a metal hinge runs along the back, strengthening and adding a reassuring weightiness.. Space can be at a premium when storing models, so the Skirmish and Battle cases have been designed to stack on top of each other for easy storage.

Games Workshop have put a lot of effort and research into making the case as comfortable as possible to transport, with ergonomically-designed handles for maximum grip - and the lid locks open, meaning no terrible accidents crushing your beloved miniatures on the gaming table.

New borderless promo cards

With Wilds of Eldraine, you can join in on the fun of fairy-tale adventures with two new promo cards. Starting on October 9, 2023 you can get these borderless anime versions of Magic cards: Ice Out and Pyroblast.

To receive these promos, players must spend £40 or more on sealed Magic: The Gathering product in-store in a single transaction. Then, you can receive each of these two anime borderless promo cards illustrated by Takuma Ebisu.

Commander Launch Party Details

From October 13 – 15, our players will travel in the TARDIS with the Doctor and their companions—or join forces with formidable foes to bring an end to the Doctor. This event has been eagerly anticipated by many in our community and for many people who have never played MTG it is a chance to pick up a deck, and play Magic with their friends!

To make the event even more exciting, each Doctor Who Commander Deck contains 10 Planechase cards featuring locations you may recognize from the franchise, and effects that will guide how every player in the pod plans their next move.

There is also a really cool promo card...

Players can earn one copy of the promo, Past in Flames, for purchasing one Commander Deck and playing at least one game in-store. They can earn additional copies by purchasing additional decks and playing additional games. (Promo cards are as usual subject to availabilty.)
