Unlock
Asmodee is proud to announce Unlock!, a series of cooperative card-based escape adventures from Space Cowboys. Each Unlock! game consists of sixty cards depicting objects, maps, and puzzles that can be activated, solved, or combined in an effort to access other cards and areas. Up to six players work cooperatively to solve each of the riddles and get through the deck within sixty minutes. The free companion app tracks the time allotted to win the game, while also offering hints and unlocking new, and necessary, elements. When the players believe they have figured out the code to escape each adventure, they will input the number into the app and escape the danger, or lose even more time in finding the real sequence.
Your adventure begins with a starting card, explaining the situation in which you find yourself. To begin your escape, you then flip over this starting card and start the clock in the app. The card's backside will show a map scattered with numbers corresponding to other cards in the deck. You will have to combine or otherwise use these cards to unlock more of the deck. As you proceed, you will be instructed to discard anything that you won't be able to use again so you can keep your focus on the newly revealed puzzles.
Time penalties can be incurred in one of two ways: first, by combining cards incorrectly and flipping a penalty card; and second, by making an incorrect guess on the app. Some cards—yellow codes—will ask you to enter a four-digit code into the app in order to proceed with the adventure or to make your ultimate escape. For every incorrect code guess, however, you will be given a penalty, removing time from the clock and lowering your final score.
You may encounter other cards, including new locations, complicated machines, and object modifiers, all of which will lead you to explore even further. Many cards will also feature hidden objects such as numbers or illustrations. These can be concealed just about anywhere and will often provide clues necessary to move forward in the adventure. If you ever find yourself stuck in the game, the app also has "hint" and "hidden object" buttons that are specific to each adventure. Using these will result in a lower score at the end of the game, but may provide the nudge you need to figure out your next steps.
Unlock! Squeek & Sausage is the second escape adventure in the series. In this cartoon adventure, you'll be challenged to stop the diabolical Professor Noside from detonating his doomsday device. After getting caught in his clever traps, you'll have to do some quick thinking to break out and foil his evil plot.
The last and most difficult of the first three Unlock! adventures is The Island of Doctor Goorse. While the other adventures can be played by a single individual, this one requires at least two players, adding unique mechanics to the game. Following a crash on the island of an eccentric antiques collector and billionaire, you and your fellow players will be split into teams and cut off from one another, trying to simultaneously reestablish communication and find a way off the mysterious isle.
Trapped
Each box includes a ten-card tutorial deck so even those less experienced in the art of escape can dive right into the game experience. The tutorial briefly introduces each of the game's different card types and interactions so every player knows just how to take advantage of the cards in the game. We will use some of the tutorial cards to help illustrate the game here.Your adventure begins with a starting card, explaining the situation in which you find yourself. Crunching the Numbers
There are a number of different cards you may encounter both in the starting room and throughout the game. Objects, machines, and codes will make up the majority of your puzzles, requiring a keen eye or a sharp mind to solve. Objects, for example, can be red or blue and can be combined with one another. When you match a red and blue card, you will add the numbers in the upper left-hand corner of the card. If there is a card in the deck matching the sum, it is a viable combination. Be careful though—some cards combinations will lead you into traps, and a wrong guess can result in a nasty time penalty.Your First Escape
The first Unlock! adventure, The Formula, takes you deep into the tunnels of New York's subway system in search of a brilliant chemist and his recently developed serum. Doctor Hoffman has been working for The Department developing a truth serum of sorts, but his communications with the agency have tapered off, and they have asked you to check in and retrieve this nearly-completed formula.Unlock! When you decipher and enter the final code for each of these adventures, you will be given a score for your efforts. This rating will depend on how many hints and hidden objects you needed help with, whether you entered any codes incorrectly, and how long you took to reach the end. Every play of the game will get you closer to the expert five stars, so even if you don't get there right away, pay attention to the correct path so you can improve your score the next time around. With three unique stories and puzzles to explore right off the bat, and the challenge of achieving a five-star score, you'll always have a mystery to solve and a clock to beat with Unlock!.

Dice Masters Rotation
Dice Masters Rotation FAQ
In 2014 WizKids launched Dice Masters. Now three years on after players have built up large Dice Masters collections and the game has continued to expand the game into new licenses, product configurations, and themes we have a rotation.
After careful consideration, and for the overall health of the game, WizKids are going to be splitting the constructed format into two categories – one where nearly every card and die is legal, and one where each set will have a lifespan of at least two years. These two constructed formats will be Golden Age and Modern Age respectively.
Golden Age is the format that includes almost every card released – it’s the present format for constructed. It will continue to contain everything that is released, minus Golden Age banned cards. It’s the format you already know and love playing.
Modern Age will change from year to year. As new sets are released, they will become Modern-Age-legal per the tournament rules for card/die legality. As sets become old, we’ll rotate them from Modern Age and Golden Age to Golden Age only. WizKids expect to make an announcement about which sets will rotate and which will stay once per year.
Why rotate?
Rotation keeps the metagame healthy for our most dedicated, competitive players. A smaller card pool means new sets are a bigger part of what everyone can focus on having fun with. For players that enjoy a large card pool, they can still play that way in friendly games and specified events.
Rotation keeps the game accessible to new players. As sets get old, they often become scarce. Staple cards are harder for new players to access, and getting into the game fresh can become challenging when there are very-many sets to collect cards from. Players getting started may even be overwhelmed by the number of gravity feeds and starter sets to choose from.
When will rotation happen?
Modern Age begins on June 1st, 2017. Qualifying events, National Championships, and World Championships held after this date will be in the Modern Age format.
What will Modern Age consist of initially?
To begin with, Modern Age will contain all sets from DC Comics Dice Masters: War of Light and newer, as well as all promos released after War of Light (September 16th, 2015).
Also, WizKids are announcing that Half-Elf Bard: Master Lords’ Alliance will be banned in Modern Age.
Why are some promo cards rotated but others remain legal from the same OP kit?
Promo cards that share a collector number with a rotated card rotate with that card (for example, Black Manta: Deep Sea Deviant). Promo cards that are functionally identical reprints of rotated cards (with identical names) but have different collector numbers will remain in Modern Age (for example, Thrown Car and Villainous Pact).
Which sets are rotating out of Modern Age as of June 1st?
Modern Age includes the following sets :

Things to know about Gen 2 - Pokemon Go
So after the first day what do we know about Gen2?
1. Gen 2 Pokémon Are Spawning A LOT!
So everyone knows that 80+ Pokémon have been added to the game, though an exact list of who showed up is still being formulated. But with ~80 Pokémon joining the current ~150, that should mean that only one out of every three Pokémon spawning in the wild is Gen 2, right?
Wrong. Niantic realized that people wouldn’t be terribly excited for Gen 2 if loads of Gen 1 kept showing up, so they skewed the numbers a bit. It’s unclear how long this will last (it could be indefinitely, but maybe not), so take advantage while you can.
A few things to note as you go to catch new Gen 2 Pokémon in the wild. You’ve probably already seen the new ball/berry selector (which is much better), but there’s more to it than that.
There are now “Critical Captures” in the game, where you will sometimes snag an instant Pokémon catch on a single shake, which is something pulled from the handheld game. What causes Critical Captures has not been exactly determined, but it could be the capture bonuses provided by medals.
Also, you now get a 50 XP bonus if your first ball catches a Pokémon. This happens decently often, so it’s a nice little general XP boost. Finally, you may notice that certain Pokémon have new move animations you haven’t seen before. There’s one that has the Pokémon zip around diagonally and another that has it float high off the ground and stay there a while.
3. Catching Evolved Pokémon Gives A Candy Bonus
At long, long, long last, Niantic implemented a great change. In order to inspire players to catch level 2 and 3 evolved forms of Pokémon they might have avoided otherwise, there’s now a candy boost for each level.
Instead of the usual three, a 2nd-stage evolution will give five candy, and a third stage will give 10 candy, you also get more Stardust as well, though I'm not sure on exact amounts. Might be 300 for 2nd, 500 for 3rd)
4. Lapras Got downgraded.
You might be confused that your Lapras suddenly got knocked out of your list of high CP Pokémon. Lapras was hit with an enormous nerf as Gen 2, and seems to be the only Pokémon to have suffered this fate.
While many moves have been rebalanced or removed, Lapras seems to be sole CP casualty, and you may see yours lose as much as several hundred CP.
5. Gen 2 Babies Now Spawn In The Wild
Generation 2 has technically been in Pokémon GO for some time in the form of babies that hatched from eggs as of last December. But with the arrival of Gen 2, apparently they’ve expanded into the wild as well.
6. No Berry Stacking
You may have noticed that there are two new types of berries, one that slows the movement of Pokémon so they’re easier to hit, another that gives you double candy for a capture. They join the original berry which lets you catch the Pokémon easier.
While it will be everyone’s first idea to stack all three berries the second you see something you really want, Niantic isn’t making it that easy. You have to pick which berry effect you want active, because only one will work at a time. This is indicated by a little berry icon by the Pokémon, and you can only apply one per breakout cycle. Choose wisely.
7. There's A New Eevee Trick That Works
If you want two of Gen 2’s most famous Pokémon, you don’t have to wait. Many thought there would be some new trick to getting Eevee to evolve into Umbreon or Espeon, evolving them during the day or at night or something, but it turns out it’s an old trick instead.
You could name Eevee for a guided evolution in Gen 1, and it is the same again. For Espeon, it’s Sakura, for Umbreon, it’s Tamao. Be sure to close your game and reopen it before you evolve to make sure the names have stuck. It’s not clear if these two will be Vaporeon-level dominant in this meta, but who wouldn’t want them all the same?
Update: Players are currently working on a theory that if you walk 10 kilometers with your Eevee as a buddy, then evolve it, it could either be an Espeon or Umbreon instead of the others. It may indeed depend on what time of the day local time you evolve them. I’m not considering this confirmed yet, but you can try it after you use up your allotted naming trick.
8. Keep An Eye On Your Pokemon's Gender
You will notice that I think all Pokémon have a gender now. Sometimes this results in a few visible changes like a male Gyarados with blue whiskers or a female Raichu with a non-pointed tail. While gender currently means nothing right now, I would definitely start trying to collect both a male and female version of each Pokémon.

New Pokemon are here

Starting later this week, you’ll have the opportunity to catch more than 80 Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games. We’ve also implemented some new features to enhance your Pokémon GO experience.
Additional Pokémon: More than 80 Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games, as well as Pokémon with gender-specific variations, will start rolling out in Pokémon GO.
New Evolutions: There are now more opportunities to evolve your Pokémon in Pokémon GO than ever before. Some Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region will soon be able to evolve—into Pokémon that inhabit the Johto region! Be on the lookout for new Evolution items at PokéStops, which you’ll need to evolve some Pokémon.
New Encounter Gameplay: When you encounter Pokémon in the wild, don’t be surprised if they react in new ways as you’re trying to catch them. You’ll also notice the addition of new item carousels that allow you to select Berries and Poké Balls directly from the encounter screen. Hone your skills and catch those elusive Pokémon!
New Berries: Pokémon enjoy eating Berries, and you’ll have the opportunity to get two new Berries by spinning the Photo Disc at PokéStops—Nanab Berries and Pinap Berries! Giving a Pokémon a Nanab Berry will slow its movements, making it easier to catch. The Pinap Berry doubles the amount of Candy you’ll receive if your next catch attempt succeeds.
New Avatars and an Expanded Wardrobe: Now you’ll be able to give your avatar a complete upgrade! Customize your look with a whole new selection of hats, shirts, pants, and other items.
Be sure to use the hashtag #PokemonGO on Twitter to share your experiences as you explore your local neighborhoods with family and friends. We can’t wait to see the Pokémon you catch!

Mysterium
At Gambit Games on the 26th February you will have the chance to play ...
In the 1920s, Mr. MacDowell, a gifted astrologist, immediately detected a supernatural being upon entering his new house in Scotland. He gathered eminent mediums of his time for an extraordinary séance, and they have seven hours to contact the ghost and investigate any clues that it can provide to unlock an old mystery.
Unable to talk, the amnesic ghost communicates with the mediums through visions, which are represented in the game by illustrated cards. The mediums must decipher the images to help the ghost remember how he was murdered: Who did the crime? Where did it take place? Which weapon caused the death? The more the mediums cooperate and guess well, the easier it is to catch the right culprit.
In Mysterium, a reworking of the game system present in Tajemnicze Domostwo, one player takes the role of ghost while everyone else represents a medium. To solve the crime, the ghost must first recall (with the aid of the mediums) all of the suspects present on the night of the murder. A number of suspect, location and murder weapon cards are placed on the table, and the ghost randomly assigns one of each of these in secret to a medium.
Each hour (i.e., game turn), the ghost hands one or more vision cards face up to each medium, refilling their hand to seven each time they share vision cards. These vision cards present dreamlike images to the mediums, with each medium first needing to deduce which suspect corresponds to the vision cards received. Once the ghost has handed cards to the final medium, they start a two-minute sandtimer. Once a medium has placed their token on a suspect, they may also place clairvoyancy tokens on the guesses made by other mediums to show whether they agree or disagree with those guesses.
After time runs out, the ghost reveals to each medium whether the guesses were correct or not. Mediums who guessed correctly move on to guess the location of the crime (and then the murder weapon), while those who didn't keep their vision cards and receive new ones next hour corresponding to the same suspect. Once a medium has correctly guessed the suspect, location and weapon, they move their token to the epilogue board and receive one clairvoyancy point for each hour remaining on the clock. They can still use their remaining clairvoyancy tokens to score additional points.
If one or more mediums fail to identify their proper suspect, location and weapon before the end of the seventh hour, then the ghost has failed and dissipates, leaving the mystery unsolved. If, however, they have all succeeded, then the ghost has recovered enough of its memory to identify the culprit.
Mediums then group their suspect, location and weapon cards on the table and place a number by each group. The ghost then selects one group, places the matching culprit number face down on the epilogue board, picks three vision cards — one for the suspect, one for the location, and one for the weapon — then shuffles these cards. Players who have achieved few clairvoyancy points flip over one vision card at random, then secretly vote on which suspect they think is guilty; players with more points then flip over a second vision card and vote; then those with the most points see the final card and vote.
If a majority of the mediums have identified the proper suspect, with ties being broken by the vote of the most clairvoyant medium, then the killer has been identified and the ghost can now rest peacefully. If not, well, perhaps you can try again...
We will also have some cool things to give away for the first few people that play ...
Including ... 4 Ghost masks, 4 sets of six promotional Intuition tokens and 28 promotional Vision cards

We had 4 rounds of swiss followed by a top eight cut to find our eventual winner. There were also some great Rainbow Draft side events for people to join in with and this saw one or two new players to the game. It was really good after only learning to play a few hours before they were ready to give it a first go.
