Really? A Lords of War Draft?
Hopefully yes, that is I am going to give it a go this weekend at Gambit Games if I can get enough interest! This is how I think it should work ...
Each player will pay £5 and for each person in the event a deck (either dwarf, elf, orc or lizardmen) will be added face down to the pool of decks! These decks will be assigned at random to a seat around the table and then each player will be assigned a seat!
Players will now get to look at their deck, open it and remove the general card!
This is the general of there army and they must keep it! The player will pace it face down in front of them! This starts you mercenary army pile! (You do not show it to the other players)

Finally each player must select their troops! To do this players take the remainder of the cards in the pack and select one card! It can be any card and you do not have to stick to the normal rules for deck constuction! (In other words you can have as many cards of one type as you are lucky enough to pick!) The card selected is placed face down on their army pile as before and this time the remainder is pase to the player on the right!
This will continue until all the cards have been selected! At the end of the process players should count through their decks to make sure that they have 36 in total!

3 Command Cards or 15 Cards in Total!
Also rather than working out the points for each game players will be awarded 5 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and nothing for a game loss! Each round will last upto 30 minutes with an additional 3 turns if the time runs out before the game resolves!
