Android Mainframe

Run fast, score big! Android: Mainframe is a fast-paced strategy game set in the not-too-distant future of the Android universe!

In the game, you and up to three opponents are elite cybercriminals known as runners who are competing for control of a vulnerable bank's various accounts. At the beginning of the game, you mark your arrival by the placement of your first access point. Then, each turn, you get to take a single action: establish another access point, execute a program, or pass. Your goal is to use the programs at your disposal to secure your access points so that they control as many of Titan's vulnerable accounts as possible.

Most of the generic programs write pathways between Titan's various nodes, allowing you to place a blue partition between the nodes on the board. Whenever your partitions seal off a section of the board containing only your access point or access points, they are "secured" and flipped face down. They are no longer vulnerable to your opponents' programs, and you will score the accounts they control at the end of the game.

Android: Mainframe differs from its predecessor Bauhaus in a number of ways, such as each player having a hand of cards and the game including six runners who each have five distinctive programs.

KD GAMES NIGHTS - Events

We hold our weekly games night at the Royal British Legion every Tuesday from 5:30pm until 10pm which is a chance for people to play pretty much what ever they want. There are however some organised events that you may wish to take part in.

Every week we hold a Vanguard Tournament from 7pm. It is a very well attended event and attracts between 16 and 24 players each week. This starts promptly at 7pm and will finish no later that £10. There are prizes for the top placed players and it cost £2 to enter.

We also hold other events on as prize kits become available. In order for people to be aware of these in advance here is a list of coming events...

Star Realms Tournament

Most of you that have been attending KD Games Night will be are aware that tomorrow we will be holding our first ever Star Realms Tournament...

There will be no extra fee (other than the normal entrance fee) to take part in this event and there will be participation prizes (promo cards) for everyone that takes part.

We aim to get started at about 6:30 and hope to finish by no later than 9pm. The number of rounds will depend on the amount of players. For this first event I will not put a time limit on the games (unless they run to an excessive time length) and these games will be played as a one v one using either the basic Star Realms core game or the Colony Wars Expansion (without and expansions added).

I have got a copy of both of these but I would ask that players could bring their own decks as well. The rounds will be swiss, with the winner of each round getting 3 points. At the end of a predetermined amount of round the winner will be the one with the highest points.

There will be a play mat for the eventual winner and a storage box for second place...

If anyone wants to play please let me know as soon as possible.

WIZKIDS ANNOUNCES 'THE SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN'

WizKids plans to release a new expansion for its long-running HeroClix collectible miniatures game 

this July, called The Superior Foes of Spider-Man.

As the title suggest, the new expansion set focuses on the friendly neighborhood web-slinger and his many super-villian enemies. Both classic and modern foes make up this set, including the Serpent Society.

The Superior Foes of Spider-Man will include a total of 70 new collectible figures with the following rarities: 16 common (with 1 Prime), 16 uncommon (1 Prime), 16 rare (1 Prime), 12 super rare (1 Prime) and 6 Chase figures. The boosters will be available as Booster Bricks.

Players can jump into the new set with the Marvel HeroClix: Spider-Man and His Greatest Foes Fast Forces Pack, which will include six figures, a ClixFX base, and a rules sheet, packaged in a clear clamshell style package. 

Rounding out the new releases will be the Marvel HeroClix: Spider-Man Dice & Token Pack. This product will include two custom dice with a Spider-Man icon and a half dozen action tokens featuring the character.
