SANTIANOS V - Week 2

Having survived the first skirmish, the party continue their hunt for Commander Valtus. Shortly after they rested from battle they discovered an injured resistance member from a previous mission. His name was Crescent Moon a Jackal driver, the only survivor of a failed mission to transport resources back to other resistance groups. 

Crescent Moon tells the party that the vehicle was attacked and his companions had all been killed. The vehicle had been damaged and he had been injured in the crash, he managed to get away but had feared he would die of his wounds and that if they could help him, he would tell them where the vehicle could be found. Although in a dangerous location, if they could defend it long enough he was sure he could repair it and transport them to where ever they needed to go.

This would aid their mission greatly and the party agreed that this would be worth the risk.

Ta'l Nehekra'ta used a medipack to dress Crecent Moons wounds and told the party that he would carry Crescent Moon, if the others could provide cover he was confident he could get him to the vehicle.

They made it to the crashed vehicle fairly quickly and without suffering any major wounds. Once there unfortunately their luck changed. A machine gun crew managed to set up behind them and opened fire upon the party, only Ta'l Nehekra'ta was lucky enough to find cover in a nearby building, the rest of the party were hit by a hail of bullets, it was a miracle no one was killed.

The party fought with the increasing amount of guardsman that had been alerted to the attempt to rescue the vehicle, whilst Crescent Moon desperately tried to get it working.

After what felt like hours the vehicle suddenly spluttered into life and Earendil who had bravely defended the repairs and taken the worst of the gun fire and was bleeding badly called the rest of the party to "jump in quickly". 

They speed away from the frustrated guardsmen and once out of sight, stopped, camouflaged the vehicle and took time to assess the damage. Earendil, Tsing Tau and Rhaast were all badly wounded but hopefully after dressing their wounds and some rest would be able to continue in their mission to find Commander Vatlus.
