6x4 Gaming Tables at KD Games

Recently we have seen an increase in the amount of interest in Games Workshop products. Our Tuesday evening event that has been dedicated to Kill Team, has now started to see some interest in Warcry and Age of Sigmar has been played for some time at Gambit Sunday's in Worthing.

Although space is limited in the shop and as such smaller games such as Kill Team and Warcry generally work best, we also wanted to offer a space for players who want to play the bigger games such as Age of Sigmar or Warhammer 40,000. 

As of this week we will be dedicating one 6x4 table with scenery that can be booked for either of these great systems or indeed any other model based system that needs a bigger board space.

Due to other events and game systems that are played on a regular basis at the shop we can only offer this space on a Friday and Saturday afternoon from 2pm until 6pm. There will currently be no charge for this service. The table is 6x4 and can be laid out with a variety of different scenery and you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. The boards can also be turned over if you wish to bring a playmat.

The table is in the back room so offers as space away from our younger customers that may be tempted to touch you models. There are two smaller tables (4x2) that you can use to organise your armies, books, accessories, etc. We have plenty of dice that you are welcome to borrow if needed. 

Space Marine Heroes 2022

 

The 41st Millennium is full of surprises, not many of them good – daemons popping out of the warp every time you get a headache, Genestealer Cults bursting from the vents, Drop Pods full of ancient humans with a 10,000-year chip on their shoulder screaming from orbit…

Thankfully for those of us that inhabit the real world, there are surprises in store that you can get excited about. Space Marine blind boxes are returning in the Space Marine Heroes 2022 Set 1.

If you aren’t familiar with blind boxes, they’re simple. There are six sculpts of Space Marine Heroes – this time in the form of Blood Angels – packaged into mystery boxes you can pick up from next week. Each box gives you a chance of getting any one of the six – or if you buy the whole dispensary, you’ll be guaranteed to get one of each, plus two duplicates for a total of eight miniatures!

These Space Marine Heroes are push-fit miniatures in red plastic, stood atop a textured rubble base. They’re armed with a mix of weapons – from classic bolters to brutal heavy weapons – and each can be built with your choice of a bare head or helmet. You might have seen these models before in Ultramarine blue, but they’re now firmly on the side of Sanguinius.Each box will cost £5 and a full dispensary pack of eight will be £40

This is a cross-over product based on the Warhammer 40,000 miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop. The set introduces 42 new Warhammer 40K-themed cards in each deck, featuring the triangular holofoil stamp of non-canon cards.

There are four commander decks available from Friday 7th October and will come in standard or premium editions.

MTG Store Championship - Pioneer

This Tuesday evening from 7pm until 10pm we will be running our Dominaria United Gameday. There will be great prize cards for all players, including a Shivan Devastator for the winner.

Entry will cost £6 and the event will be open to 8 players.  

MTG Unfinity Launch Party

Step right up—Magic's most unbelievable space carnival launches globally October 7. The fourth Un-set will be bringing out-of-this world cards and mechanics to create unforgettable moments.

Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Flashback Draft

Recently Wizards of the Coast has been celebrating our historic past: starting September 26, we're celebrating the future all over again with a return to Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty through a limited-time Flashback Draft events. 

The Flashback Draft event will be held on October 1st at 2pm.

Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty is one of this year's best sets for Limited play, and this is your opportunity to play cards from Kamigawa's lively cyberpunk future.

Each player who participates in a Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Flashback Draft will receive a code to redeem three Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty boosters on Magic: The Gathering Arena. Players will only receive a single code regardless of how many events they play, and all codes will be sent to eligible players the week of October 24.

MTG Buy a Box Promo's

We will be getting our buy-a-box promotional cards for the new MTG Dominaria United set in the coming days. These should have been with us last week ready for the pre-release but unfortunately they were delayed. (Anyone that bought a box will be able to claim their free promo card once the arrive.)

The new set of MTG, Dominaria United is released on 9th September 2022 and we will be running Prerelease events this weekend, starting at 7pm on Friday.

As well as having the events we will be selling full boxes of MTG Dominaria United in Draft, Set and Jumpstart boosters.

Unfortunately the buy-a-box promo cards have been delayed so you will have to wait for these to arrive. We will however be giving away a special 30th Anniversary T-Shirt to the first 50 customers that buy one.
