What a Weekend!

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to be asked to go to Fruesbrug in Germany and run some demonstrations of Lords of War as well as hosting the first ever Lords of War German Masters.

The location was quite simply spectacular and Heidelberger made us feel extremely welcome.

The tournament was great fun to organize and the players helped us with the language barrier. I am sure I got a lot of names wrong but their enthusiasm for the game was marvelous. Here are a few pictures of the event along with the final scores...

Germany Again

Just about to set off this morning to Germany for three days of fun - running the Lords of War Tournament as well as demos for this great game.

I will also hopefully get the chance to play test Polar Panic some more as well.

A new, non-cooperative game in the Pandemic line! Become one of the diseases in this new game that reverses the roles and where you must now try to annihilate the human race. After many years of trying to defeat the diseases that threaten mankind’s existence, the tables have been turned. You are now the disease and guess what?

There is no cure.

In Pandemic: Contagion, you are competing against other diseases to see who can eliminate humanity. With no cure to be had, the one of you that wipes out all human civilization will come out on top as the most deadly disease ever known to man, may he rest in peace.

Similar to Pandemic, Contagion includes a deck of contagion cards, city cards, event cards, player disease card and disease cubes. On a turn you take two of three possible actions and when the number of diseases equals the city’s population number, the city is wiped out. Introduced is the mid-game scoring and once the event deck runs out or only two city cards remain in play, the game ends, with players conducting a final scoring round to see which virus is victorious.

For too long has the human race assaulted diseases. For too long has mankind found cures and other means to eradicate them from the planet. Now, the diseases are fighting back and humanity doesn’t stand a chance! Will you be the disease that exterminates humanity?

This Month's KD Magic Nights

KD Magic Nights

As normal all KD Magic Nights will be held at the Royal George on the Holmbush Roundabout and will start at 7pm. The venue will open between 4pm and 5pm each week to allow players to trade, have some casual games or test their decks for the evening.

We will try and get 4 swiss rounds of 40 minutes each week after which the top two players will get prizes.

Here is the proposed schedule of events for this month, in addition to these there will be draft events being held on Tuesday Night, more details to follow soon.
